Orta theme for Ubuntu Unity 11.10by ~rebek94

Customization / Skins & Themes / Linux and Unix Utilities / Desktop Environments / GNOME / GTK3

You can install this version of the theme Orta on Ubuntu 11.10 with Unity.
This theme is an adaptation of the original ([link]), using also the theme Orion ([link]).

MANUAL INSTALLATION:
Extract all the files from the archive in the folder ~/.themes/Orta
Then, with gnome-tweak-tool, select Orta in GTK+ theme and Window theme.

PPA INSTALLATION:
You can also install it using the OMG! Ubuntu! PPA!. Open a terminal and type:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kokoto-java/omgubuntu-stuff
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install orta-gtk-theme

INFO:
You can also install orta-settings-manager ([link]), but only certain information will take effect.

Hi!
I've just installed xubuntu precise and I wanted a nice theme, and orta is my favourite one but i didn't know it doesn't support gtk-3.0 (i usually am a kde user), so i was quite disappointed to see my gtk3 programs look terrible. Then you made my day with this "old" post

.
But there are some bugs in your theme, some buttons shifting when the mouse hovers them, the background of file roller quite unreadable, and maybe other i haven't noticed yet.
Well I've downloaded this theme [link] and used its gtk-3.0 folder in yours, and it solved all those troubles. I think you could upload this fix in your ppa, don't you?

Ps: sorry if I wrote in a bad english, i haven't been writing in english for ages..

Thanks for trying this theme and leaving your feedback.
This theme has been designed for Ubuntu, and not for Xubuntu.
Which version of the OS are you using? I made an updated version for Ubuntu 12.04 that you can find here: [link]

Complimenti, meraviglioso tema. Ho un po' di problemi con l'installazione via repository. Dice che il pacchetto orta-gtk-theme è inesistente. Sto provando manualmente.

On Xubuntu 12.04 it looks like this [link].

This is for Ubuntu Unity, not for XDE.
However for Ubuntu 12.04 there is another version (this is for 11.10).

rebek!! I gotta tell ya.. (as if you haven't heard it enough) this theme.. a real gem. SUPER BONUS POINTS for: a) gtk2 AND gtk3 apps make use of it, making my desktop nearly seamless, b) XFWM decorations!!!!, and c) configurator. nuff said. god theme. mad props. out.
