You can install this version of the theme Orta on Ubuntu 11.10 with Unity.
This theme is an adaptation of the original ([link]), using also the theme Orion ([link]).

MANUAL INSTALLATION:
Extract all the files from the archive in the folder ~/.themes/Orta
Then, with gnome-tweak-tool, select Orta in GTK+ theme and Window theme.


PPA INSTALLATION:
You can also install it using the OMG! Ubuntu! PPA!. Open a terminal and type:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kokoto-java/omgubuntu-stuff
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install orta-gtk-theme


INFO:
You can also install orta-settings-manager ([link]), but only certain information will take effect.

Hi, thanks for making this theme, but unfortunately I think some gtk3 update in Ubuntu Precise has broken it. In programs like Empathy and Orta the buddy list is pretty much unreadable, along with the menus. This issue exists for other programs as well.

I don't think you're alone though as I've seen other themes with exact issues. I don't know if there's anything to be done about it, but hopefully.

Already with the PPA and starting work on the Settings manager? This is too good. Man you're making fantastic progress here rebek94. The gradients are just perfect too. Its not as if there arent other beautiful themes to be had. I just can't bring myself to use any but yours now. White has traditionally been a color to stray from because its hard to give it any real depth but you're absolutely nailing that impossibly small sweet spot with your shading and gradients. My applause and thanks for all the hard work. Grinding through text and pounding numbers in is a drag i know..... I hope you can feel satisfied after seeing SkysOfAzel give his approval and praise. This is something you should be proud of man.

I'm find the problem, Synaptik don't read the ppa with this theme. Maybe it's problem for my PC only. (Ubuntu 11.10). Sorry for my bad English.

I have the same problem describe by lependin.
The synaptic does not show ANY program listed, and when I try to search it crashes. Also the program EasyTag doesn't show nothing. It's a "bug" in certain systems.
Rebek94, have you some ideia of what may be going on?

You can simply delete the folder gtk-2.0/Apps/Synaptic in the theme folder!
